Mom Owned Businesses you Didn’t Know you Needed to Know
If there ever was a person to get things done, you can leave it to a mama. Many mom owned businesses have begun when a curious mom created something outstanding that has solved a problem or question she had in her own experience. Parenting can be challenging and a fellow mom who can save us time or fix some problems we face too is always greatly appreciated. When mothers are a force for change, there is no stopping us. Here is a short list of business that we are loving right now.
Wildbird : Taylor Gunn started this company in order to work from home and help other moms work hands free and encourage their bond between baby and mom. Her products have grown from beautiful printed, linen ring slings to baby and toddler sleepwear and other structured baby carriers.
Tabor Place : Beatrice Gomberg’s journey began when she became a mom and noticed the limited options of plastic free products for children. Concerned about the potential health risks associated with plastics she started her company of glass, shatter proof sippy cups and encourages parents to continue to seek healthier options for our babies.
Earth Mama Organics: Melinda Olson started this company with the goal of creating plant-based products for parents like herself. They have friendly ingredients in their products that range from nipple butter for breastfeeding mothers to diaper rash cream.
Solly baby : Elle Rowley named the company after her own son Solomon who she calls Solly for short. These fabric baby wearing wraps are made out of the softest tinsel fabric and beautiful designs.
5. Roe Wellness : Created by Alexa Angelin, pediatric nurse practitioner, when she struggled to find baby skincare products that didn't irritate her little one's skin. Her products include spf sunscreen and soap that is high quality, clean, and vegan. In fact, it has been the only sunblock that my own daughter can use without developing hives!
6. Kate Quinn: Kate founded this company in 2006 and includes some of the softest, most natural materials, the highest quality design and construction, and most importantly, the hope of a cleaner kinder earth. These clothes really do withstand the test of time.
7. Loveevery: Jessica Rolph did a deep dive on research which revealed the more you expose babies to how the world works, the richer the neural networks become. Which was the start of her company that produces products that help create developmental experiences for not only babies, but familes. Their subscription service is tailored to babies and children at their age group. Your baby will love it and so will you!
